Airline travel foreseen address: Ministry Center Piñas de Paz , Ticuantepe, Nicaragua

  1. Bring a credit card to be used in case of a medical emergency
  2. Bring a copy of your passport to carry with you at all times (a team leader can collect ad keep together)
  3. Bring clean US dollars – no tears, no marks
    • Can use US dollars – recommend bills of $20, $10, $5, & $1 for shopping
    • ATM machines available
    • Extra spending money for souvenirs/shopping
    • $25-30/pp for team day-off activities (optional to be decided by team)
  4. NO blow dryers/NO curling irons 
  5. Bring your personal bath towel and washcloth – shower gel, sheets, and pillow provided.
  6. Lodging: Dorm Bunk-room style; includes 3 meals – breakfast, lunch*, and supper
    • Lunch on construction days will be a *PB&J sandwich, chips, and cookies. 
    • Please notify us of any food allergies
  7. Church attire: Casual
    • Bermuda shorts, jeans, pants, capris; polo shirts, t-shirt, modest sundress/skirt & modest tank tops
  8. Please DO NOT wear matching team t-shirts your travel day into Nicaragua.
    • “Team t-shirts” are best worn during a team ministry outreach/VBS day
  9. Purified Water & Ice Provided– stay hydrated and drink lots of water!!
    • Help us NOT waste water – mark your water bottle w/ your initials or use a personal re-fillable water bottle.
  10. ALL toilet paper is to be put in the trash can provided.
    • Includes all feminine products (and tampons)
  11. Notify your team leader(s) immediately if you are not feeling well.

What to Pack:

A Servant heart and…
bath towel, washcloth, hand-sanitizer, sunscreen, bug spray, re-fillable water bottle, sharpie marker, flashlight or/head-light,**work clothes, light jacket/sweatshirt, jeans, capris, bermuda shorts, t-shirts, modest tank tops, bandana, hat, sunglasses, tennis-shoes, flip-flops, toiletries any personal medications. personal snack foods, camera.

** Remember… Work/Construction clothes: (work gloves, old t-shirts, jeans, old scrubs, work shoes – boots/tennis shoes, etc)

Please bring one pack of D-batteries to donate to farm for our lanterns.
